The Metropolitan Orchestra String Fantasy

The Metropolitan Orchestras (TMO) will present the first concert of their new and unique 2021 season on February 20. Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams with TMO’s dynamic string section, String Fantasy commences with a premiere new orchestration of Fast Blue Village from acclaimed Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin. Following is the Carmen Fantasy form Flute and Strings by Bizet, arranged by Brett Thompson and featuring TMO Principal Flute, Svetlana Yaroslavskaya. Stanhope’s Morning Star and Hamerik’s Symphony Number 6 complete this distinctive 2021 season opener. Due to Covid, live access seating will be strictly limited. The concert will also be live-streamed.
